No! Scream4U works completely offline. Emergency alerts are sent via SMS directly from your phone - no internet required. You only need internet for: initial app download, subscribing/managing subscription, and restoring your subscription on a new device. Once set up, all emergency features work offline.

Go to Settings → Edit Emergency Contacts. You can add up to 5 contacts with their names and phone numbers. Make sure to include country codes for international numbers (e.g., +1 for US, +27 for South Africa).

Emergency alert buttons require an active subscription ($19.99/year). Only the Test Alert is free. Subscribe through the app to unlock all emergency features.

Use the "Test Alert" button (green button on main screen, or in Settings if subscribed). Free users get 3 test alerts to verify the system works. Subscribers get unlimited testing. The test message clearly states it's not a real emergency.

Emergency alerts include: your name, your home address, the type of emergency, exact timestamp, and a message asking contacts to "Please assist immediately."

Yes! Go to Settings → Transfer Device. This prepares your subscription for transfer. On your new device, use "Restore Purchase" with the same email address.

Go to Settings → Subscription Status → Manage Subscription. This will open the Stripe customer portal where you can view your subscription details and status. Tap the "Cancel Subscription" button to cancel.

You have two chances to cancel: First, a confirmation dialog appears - tap 'Cancel' to abort. If you accidentally tap 'Send Alert', the SMS app will open with pre-filled messages. This is your second chance - simply close the SMS app or don't tap 'Send', and no messages will be sent.

When you press an emergency button, the app opens your phone's SMS app with pre-filled messages for all your emergency contacts. You'll see the messages ready to send - just tap the Send button. This works completely offline, requiring only cellular signal for SMS delivery.

The price shown on our website is automatically converted to your local currency for convenience. However, the final price at checkout is processed by Stripe using live exchange rates, which fluctuate daily. The difference is typically minimal (within 1-3%), but exchange rates can vary. Your bank statement will show the exact amount in your local currency based on the rate at the time of purchase.
